The Sons of The American Legion was created in 1932 as an organized program within
The American Legion. The S.A.L. is made up of boys and men of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the United States military and became eligible for membership in The American Legion. Together, members of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of The American Legion make up what is known as The Legion Family. All three organizations place high importance on preserving our American traditions and values, improving the quality of life for our nation's children, caring for veterans and their families, and perhaps most importantly, teaching the fundamentals of good citizenship.

Operation Proud Son

For the 2009 - 2010 Membership Year, Commander Arneson has laid out an ambitious program, titled Operation Proud Son, to accomplish a host of ideas to strengthen our committment to our Veterans and to the Children of our great Nation, while at the same time encouraging growth of our organization within each Detachment. Learn what it means to be "Molded in Excellence, Embodied by Tradition". For a complete overview, click here, and read the Commander's thoughts about Operation Proud Son.

Weekly Briefings

This year Commander Arneson will attempt to post a weekly briefing of where he has been, what he has been doing or other topics that may be of interest. This will hopefully bring to everyone how important it is to market all of our positive actions as we promote our organization. Weekly briefings may be accessed here.
